Support abortion access in Virginia!

Email your legislator to ask them to support the Reproductive Health Protection Act (HB 980)!

I'm writing to ask you to vote YES in support of abortion access for everyone and in support of HB 980, the Reproductive Health Protection Act (RHPA).

In Virginia, we must repeal the medically unnecessary and overly burdensome regulations on abortion facilities that create barriers to access. The RHPA would repeal sham restrictions on abortion access, including mandatory ultrasounds and waiting periods and politically motivated TRAP restrictions designed to shut down clinics. This bill would ensure that access to abortion does not depend on an individual’s zip code or economic status. The RHPA would allow Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) operating within their scope of practice to provide first trimester abortions, a safe, non-surgical, out-patient procedure.

The laws currently on the books are all designed to be harmful and burdensome for people seeking an abortion, which can ultimately put a person’s health and economic at risk when they are unable to access the healthcare that they need. Please support the Reproductive Health Protection Act, HB 980.
