Close the ALEC loophole once and for all

Government should be conducted out in the open because sunshine is the best disinfectant. The ALEC loophole would allow special interests to shower politicians with gifts and trips with no disclosure, while lobbying them to stop advances for clean energy, voting rights, raising wages, and more.

The Governor gets it. That’s why he amended the ethics bill to close the ALEC loophole and slammed the door on secret trips.

Restore the aggregate gift cap
Empower the ethics council to randomly inspect ethics filings
Stop free trips to events like the Super Bowl
