Tell the General Assembly: Reject a license to discriminate.

SB41 and HB773 would allow taxpayer-subsidized discrimination. This is a blatant attempt to turn religious freedom from a shield to a sword. Let your legislator know you reject any proposal to enshrine the license to discriminate in Virginia law.

The freedom of religion is one of our nation’s most fundamental values which is why it’s already protected in the U.S. Constitution. SB41 and HB773 have nothing to do with the freedom of religion. Instead, they provide a license to discriminate against LGBT Virginians with taxpayer dollars. Gay, lesbian, and transgender Virginians are our friends, neighbors, family and co-workers. Discrimination is not a Virginia value. Please focus on legislation that would strengthen Virginia communities, not hurt our LGBTQ friends, neighbors and loved ones. Vote no on SB41 and HB773.
